The first meeting of the main seminar takes place on Monday 11. Apr. 2016 at 14:00 hrs in room H-A 7118. On this day the final topic is assined. Moreover the rules and requirements of the seminar are explained and dates are coordinated.
 
Naturally, you can and are encouraged to ask questions prior to the first meeting. Simply contact (link mailto:) Martin Lambers.

 

Goals:

The aim of the seminar is, on the one hand, the learning and practicing, respectively, of an independent mode of work for the development of a scientific topic. (Here the context is Computer Graphics). The second major goal of the seminar is the aquisition of techniques for presentation and communication, as well as collecting experience in delivering a scientific topic.

Requirements:

Successful participation of this class requires:

  • Presence at all single talks (the unexcused absence from one such lecture will lead to exclusion from the class).
  • Preparation of a presentation (e.g. Powerpoint, PDF, HTML).
  • A free talk of 30 min, followed by a discussion and question round concerning the content of the talk as well as the structure, style of the slides and presentation.
  • Development of the topic (4500 - 8000 words, written in LaTex), to be handed in before the talk.
