Goals:
Scientific Visualization is about the visual representation of simulation and measurement data from medicine, natural sciences, and technology. This lecture focusses on interactive techniques that map abstract data to visualizable geometry.
Contents:
- Grid types and interpolation
- 2D scalar fields
- Vector field topology and particle traces
- 2D and 3D flow visualization
- Direct and indirect volume visualization
- Hardware-accelerated volume rendering
